In general, OCPT series power supplies in terms of electronic circuit design in most parts, they have no resemblance to the first-generation models. The most important features of OCPT series power supplies are:
Modern Half-Bridge topology with Resonant Tank Converter (LLC Resonant) in the initial section
Thanks to the modern and highly efficient Half-Bridge topology along with the LLC Resonant converter, which softens the switching waveform (Soft Switching) and the practical realization of Zero Voltage Switching at the input, EMI, RF carriers, and switching losses at the input are reduced and efficiency Energy efficiency increases significantly. Also, resonant tank converters (LLC Resonant) allow the switching speed of the inlet MOSFETs to be much higher than the previous generation topologies, which in practice, especially in the event of idleness, will increase energy efficiency.
On average, the energy efficiency of the primary sector in switching power supplies equipped with this topology will be between 93% to 96%.
Faster and more accurate performance of safety protections
The Supervisor chip is the most important part of all switching power supplies in modern switching power supplies. In the OCPT series power supplies, the Supervisor chip is much more modern and accurate than the previous-generation models, and the customizations made in its biasing, in practice, provide a much narrower and more precise range for controlling OCP, OPP, and OTP protections.
Equipped with three separate thermal sensors for very precise control of fan rotation speed, silent status, and OTP protection
OCPT series power supplies use 3 separate and completely independent NTC heat sensors for fan speed control, silent mode management, and Over Temperature Protection protection function. The use of separate sensors results in a more accurate operation of each of the above cases and reduces the risk of problems caused by the depreciation of the sensors over time. All this information is analyzed by the digital fan speed control circuit, and as a result, it will bring you the best state of the temperature and sound output produced by the fan.
Voltage Regulation less than 2% for 3.3V, 5V and 12V output rails
The use of DC-DC converter topology to generate 5V and 3.3V rails in the second section has stabilized the output rails as much as possible in this series of power supplies. Also, the independence of the main parts of voltage control and management of each output rail in the power supplies equipped with this topology in the secondary section, Guarantees their correct and accurate operation in the state of no-load (Zero Load) and Cross Load (unbalanced distribution of load on output rails).
Use of High Current System (HCS) connectors with gold plating and the ability to pass 50% more current
In new generation platforms, due to the introduction of processors with more cores as well as higher power consumption (TDP), motherboard manufacturers, especially in high-end and expensive models, use power connectors in the server motherboard class called HCS (High Current System. These connectors). On average, the new OCPT series power supplies use gold-plated HCS models in the high-power output modular connectors section and in both the male and female sections (graphics power supply, processor, and motherboard connectors). In this type of connector, increasing the operational contact surface and using a much more resistant alloy against high currents in practice reduces ripple, voltage drop, and connection point temperature, and overall increases the stability of the system in overclocking and gaming applications. All-flat cables of this power supply in PCI-E and E-ATX power supply have a thickness of 16AWG (except PCI-E power cable GP650B-OCPT).
Ripple and voltage of output rails noise up to one-third of global standards
Ripple and output noise is one of the most important factors in reducing the useful life of power and equipment connected to it. The voltage ripple of the output rails of the OCPT series power supplies is up to 3 times lower than the strictest and latest standard of ATX power supplies due to the modern topology of implementation in the primary and secondary sections along with the two-stage filter in the secondary section.
Ultra-low noise fan equipped with FDB (Fluid Dynamic Bearing) type
The second-generation OCPT power supplies are equipped with high-quality fans in the industrial application class with FDB technology. FDB fans, which are currently one of the most modern bearing systems, have an even longer life and, of course, much less acoustic noise than Double Ball Bearing fans. Also, due to the very cool performance of this series of power supplies, extremely quiet fans with a maximum rotation speed of 1200RPM have been used to cool them.
Increased average energy efficiency compared to the previous generation OC+ series
Having the most modern topologies in the primary and secondary sections along with extremely high-quality components in the manufacture of OCPT power supplies has caused a significant improvement in the energy efficiency of the second generation of these power supplies at normal operating voltage conditions in Iran (230 volts). Increasing energy efficiency in practice minimizes power consumption losses, and this has led to reduced heat loss, reduced heat of sensitive parts, quieter performance, and ultimately significantly increase the life of these models
Digital controller fan with much more accurate performance than the previous generation
The new generation of OCPT power supplies is equipped with digital controller documentation sensitive to both the amount of input inside the power supply and the load on the power output. This fully intelligent circuit controls and manages the Fanless status (at an output load of less than 30% of rated power) and the fan rotation speed by analyzing the mentioned lines with the help of its 3 sensors receiving its thermal information, in different conditions. Also, due to the much cooler performance of the OCPT series power supplies compared to the previous generation, these models have extremely low noise performance, even up to about 90% of the rated power.
